At the heart of the matter.
This piece is an experiment and an anatomical study, as a preview of a larger project.
It is made using needle lace. The materials are cotton thread and elastic fabric tape. The piece is starched with diluted wood glue, which gives it a nearly wet appearence.
It was accepted as a part of the 2025 crafts exhibition UrSlöjd at Jamtli museum, Östersund. The exibition featured regional artisans’ work and this piece was the posterwork. it also hung as the first piece in the exhibit, greeting visitors from March until October 2025.

The most common remark it revceived on opening day was “I thought it would be bigger”.
